To reduce the number of components without making an obstacle to insertion work of a terminal fitting into a housing.

When a terminal fitting 20 is housed in a housing 10, a joint terminal 30 is held at a temporary locking position, thereby, insertion resistance due to contact of the joint terminal and the terminal fitting 20 does not occur, or the insertion resistance is reduced, and there arises no obstacle to the insertion of the terminal fitting 20. After the terminal fitting 20 is inserted, if the joint terminal 30 is displaced to the final locking position, the plurality of the terminal fitting are short-circuited. Since the joint terminal 30 is fitted to the housing 10, it is not necessary to have another means to hold the joint terminal 30, thus the number of components can be few.
