Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily connect rods as jointing objects to each other, and prevent the occurrence of an axial play at the connected part of the rods.
SOLUTION: A pair of connectors 1 and 14 are formed to have insertion holes 5a and 19a made of tapered surfaces 5 and 19, engagement teeth 7 and 21 peripherally separated and slidably arranged within the insertion holes 5a and 19a, and energization members 12 and 26 for energizing the engagement teeth 7 and 21 toward the small diameter sides of the tapered surfaces 5 and 19. Also, one of the connectors 1 and 14 is internally provided with a stopper 28. On the other hand, an external thread 3 is engraved on the external surface of one connector 1, and an internal thread 17 for screwing the external thread 3 is engraved on the other connector 14. Then, jointing objects are inserted in each of the engagement teeth 9 and 21, with the threads 3 and 17 engaged with each other with a tolerance and, thereafter, one of the connectors 1 and 14 is rotated.
