To provide a joint fitting capable of holding a rotary fitting so that the rotary fitting of the joint fitting is not rotated forward accidentally in the manufacture process of a product such as a legless chair provided with the joint fitting.
The rotary fitting 20 of the joint fitting 1 is pivoted by a fixed fitting 10. The forward rotation of the rotary fitting 20 in a direction for reducing an opening angle of the rotary fitting 20 relative to the fixed fitting 10 is allowed. The joint fitting 1 is configured so that the reverse rotation of the rotary fitting 20 in a direction for increasing the opening angle of the rotary fitting 20 is regulated and the regulation is released by a prescribed deregulation operation. Further, the joint fitting 1 is configured so that the rotary fitting 20 is held so as not to be rotated forward by frictional force between the rotary fitting 20 and the fixed fitting 10 generated by one of the rotary fitting 20 and the fixed fitting 10 coming into press-contact with the other fitting, when the opening angle of the rotary fitting 20 is maximum.
