PURPOSE: To enable providing inexpensively a joint fitting having a less quantity of parts, allowing an easy process and use, and having the capability of well preventing a water ingress around a joint section.
CONSTITUTION: Both sides of a joint fitting body comprising the required size of a metal sheet are bent to the prescribed width along a line from surface to reverse side center, thereby forming a roof panel presser section 10 having the required width on the surface of the body. Then, both sides of the body are again bent externally in either direction, thereby forming a roof panel rest and nail stopper sections in common 11 and 11 having a gap from the presser section 10 for inserting a roof panel. Thereafter, the lower end of the presser section 10 is bent toward the rear side of the sections 11 and 11 for forming an engagement hook section 14. Also, the upper end of the section 10 is bent for forming a bent piece to prevent the ingress of rain drops.
