Title:
JOINT PLATE FOR CAISSON
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH11172651
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a joint plate for a caisson, which is excellent in elongation and facilitates formation of extensible/contractible parts by forming a long belt-shaped body in which elastic bodies such as rubber or synthetic resin are laminated at both faces of a metal gauze and vertically fitting the joint plate to the joints formed between end faces of adjacent caissons.

Elastic bodies 13 such as rubber or synthetic resin are laminated at both faces of a hexagonal-patterned metal gauze 11 and a long belt-shaped body is formed and further, projections parallel to the side ends and along them are provided at one side face of the fitting parts 15 of both longitudinal ends. A metal gauze 11 is put in the joint plate 10 to impart flexibility and elasticity. When forming a corrugate expansible part at the central part thereof, a corrugate processing is executed by a roller after vulcanization. Then, the corrugated state processed with the metal gauze 11 inserted in the inside is held and the breadthwise extension/contraction is increased and the height and the number of corrugated forms are decided arbitrarily as required. The joint plates 10 are arranged between adjacent caissons and a back-fill material such as back-fill stones or soil are filled back at the back face. In this way, the joint plate 10 can prevent the back-fill material from outflowing while following the movement of the caisson.
