To provide joints for pole members of steel steel tower for minimizing the inner surface corrosion of each pole member by sealing the inside of each pole member.

The joints 4, 6, 9 for the pole members of the steel pipe tower are provided at the ends of the pole members 3 such as main pole members 1 and web members 2 constituting a steel pipe tower 10, and sealing plates 42, 61, 92 are welded into the end holes of the joints to seal the inside of the pole members. The joint may be the forging-molded flange joint 4 provided at the end of the pole member 3 and constituted to weld the sealing plate 42 to a flange inner diameter part, or the U-shaped plate joint 6 provided at the end of the web member 2 and constituted to weld the sealing plate 61 between an end outer diameter part of the web member 2 and an intermediate part outer surface of a U-shaped plate 5, or the cross plate joint 9 provided at the end of the web member 2 and constituted to weld the sealing plate 92 between the end face of the web member 2 and an intermediate part of a cross plate 91.
