To provide a joint portion for steel pipe scaffolding, which facilitates connection/disconnection of poles, ledgers, and brackets to/from each other, and prevents an accident of disconnection of the joint portion due to swing, vibration, or the like after the connection of the same.
According to the joint portion, the pole 1 has a catch 5 attached to a side portion thereof, and the catch 5 has a vertically penetrating wedge hole 5a formed therein. Each of the ledger 2 and the bracket 3 has an engaging fixture 6 protruded from an end thereof, and the engaging fixture 6 includes a wedge portion 6a to be inserted into the wedge hole 5a. Further, the engaging fixture 6 includes a slipout preventive stopper 7 at a lower end of the wedge portion 6a, and the stopper 7 protrudes onto a lower side of the catch 5 by a force of a plate spring 9 when the wedge portion 6a is inserted into the wedge hole 5a.
