Abstract:

To simplify initial setup when finish machining is performed to a seal member contact surface of a flange joint provided in an absorption type chiller heater, so that required finish machining will be completed in a short machining time, and minimal equipment and materials will be used for machining.

At a split part of respective split shells, a pair of flanges is formed. On a flange surface of one flange 16B (17B, 15B, 18B), a first seal groove 20 (26, 29, 32) is formed which has a rectangular cross-sectional shape, has a bottom surface with finish machining applied thereon, and allows a seal member 21 to be filled into the inside thereof. At a position corresponding thereto of the another flange 16A (17A, 15A, 18A), a shallow seal groove 22 is formed by finish machining.
