PURPOSE: To obtain a high inner pressure sealing pressure and a stable sealing pressure, and to increase the connecting torque in the connection, by providing a sealing groove at the tompost position between a contacting member and the inner surface of the contacting member, at the connection of pipes.
CONSTITUTION: At the tompost position of the contacting part between the inner surface of a male side joint 1 and the outer surface of a male side joint 2, in the connection of pipes, a sealing groove 8 is provided, in which a seal member 3 such as an O ring or a gasket is inserted. As a result, even in the connection between pipes of the same material or the different materials, a secure and a high sealing effect is exercised. Furthermore, the time of comple tion of connection can be judged easily, and a breakdown of the joint owing to an excessive fastening can be avoided.
