Abstract:
To increase the reliability of a joint fitting by preventing the joint fitting from being damaged even if an axial force acts on a male fitting by an earthquake.
This joint fitting 8 comprises a cushioning material 9 for absorbing and relieving the axial force acting on the male fitting 6 in a segment 2. The cushioning material 9 is installed between a joint plate 5 and a cap nut 61 in the segment 2, and formed of an elastic body allowing the base end side of the male fitting 6 to be inserted therein. When the cap nut 61 is connected to the base of the male fitting 6, the cushioning material functions as a washer. The cushioning material is made of, for example, a synthetic resin with proper hardness and elasticity such as urethane rubber.
