The journal bearing 10A includes a rotatable shaft part 11, a bearing part 12 which is provided with a lubricating-liquid-feeding groove 12a, and supports the shaft part 11 through the lubricating liquid, and a lubricating-liquid-feeding part 13. When axially viewed, the shaft part 11 appears to be a perfect circle, and the bearing part 12, when axially viewed, appears to be a perfect circle. The lubricating-liquid-feeding groove 12a is provided in the range of 30-60in the reverse direction to the direction of rotation of the shaft part 11 from the top of the shaft part 11. The lubricating liquid between the shaft part 11 and the bearing part 12 is in a state of starved lubrication.
