PURPOSE: To eliminate deterioration with the lapse of time and to improve accuracy and linearity by executing the coordinates position detection with an electrostatic capacity linking system and with non-contact.

CONSTITUTION: A detecting electrode 5 of the tip of a signal detector 4 is pressed against a coordinates input board 1 by a spring 17, and even when it is rotated with a supporting point as a center, the detecting electrode 5 is always brought into contact with the coordinates input board 1. Then, the electrode arranged at a tablet and the detecting electrode 5 of a signal detector 4 keep the constant distance always. Thus, the signal detector 4 is supported so that the tip part of the signal detector 4 can be moved while the constant distance is held for the surface of the tablet, the deterioration with the lapse of time is eliminated and the accuracy and the linearity can be improved.
