PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a determination device and a determination method capable of accurately determining soundness in a spatial structure after an earthquake.SOLUTION: A determination device according to an embodiment of the present invention determines a soundness of a spatial structure after an earthquake and includes: an acquisition unit that acquires a first measurement signal from a first sensor that measures information on a displacement occurring in the spatial structure in accompanying with a vibration of an earthquake; a calculation unit which calculates a response of the spatial structure accompanying with the vibration based on the first measurement signal and calculates a response of a ground external to the spatial structure in accompanying with the vibration; and a determination unit that determines the soundness of the spatial structure based on the calculation result calculated by the calculation unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
