Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably keep knocking at a target level independently of the configuration of an internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: A corrected in-cylinder capacity VC is calculated by correcting a base in-cylinder capacity using a learning value. A crank angle correction value ΔCAC as a difference between a crank angle CA50C for giving the corrected in-cylinder capacity VC and a base crank angle CA50B is calculated, and a base ignition timing is corrected using the crank angle correction value ΔCAC and a feedback correction value. When an absolute value |ΔCAC| for the crank angle correction value is greater than a predetermined limit value, the corrected crank angle CA50C is changed into CA50CX so that the absolute value for the crank angle correction value is not greater than the limit value. Besides, a variable compression ratio mechanism changes a mechanical compression ratio so that an in-cylinder capacity VX at the changed corrected crank angle becomes the corrected in-cylinder capacity VC.
