PURPOSE: To provide a jumper chip possessing a small number of component parts, and being easily manufactured by covering an almost rectangular parallelopiped shape metal piece with insulation layers so as to expose both end portions thereof in a lengthwise direction, and making the both end portions in a lengthwise direction external electrode terminals.
CONSTITUTION: Insulation layers 12 are formed on parts of the front face and the back face of a metal piece 11, while the both end portions, in a lengthwise direction, of the metal piece 11 worked to form an almost rectangular parallelopiped shape, are exposed so as to form external electrode terminals 11a, 11b. When the external electrode terminals 11a, 11b are joined to, for instance, the land portion between wiring circuits being necessary at the wiring circuit side of a printed board by way of solder or the like, using a jumper chip constituted like this, it becomes possible to make electric connection, which is a purpose as the jumper chip. Thereby cost can be reduced because the chip requires a small number of component members and can be manufactured by means of a simple method.
