To provide a junction structure of an impervious sheet in a water bottom and a junction method of the impervious sheet which can easily carry out an impervious operation when carrying out the impervious operation in the water bottom in order to prevent an infiltration of water from underwater to below the water bottom in a waste landfill, etc.
The junction structure relates to mutual facing edge parts 9, 10 of both impervious sheets 7, 8 which are prolonged along the water bottom 5 and arranged in a line adjoiningly each other. While long prolonging along one facing edge part 9 of both facing edge parts 9, 10, one edge part 17a is arranged in its axial direction at one facing edge part 9, whereas the other edge part 17b is projected towards the other facing edge part 10 and has a cover sheet 17 of strip shape, which covers the other facing edge part 10 from its upper part and an impervious material 21 which is packed in a space 20 between the other facing edge part 10 and the cover sheet 17.
