Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a karaoke machine with a function for correcting pitch in accordance with the pitch of a standard main melody or with a pitch higher or lower than the main melody pitch one octave.
SOLUTION: This karaoke machine with pitch shifter is characterized in that it is provided with a singing voice pitch detecting means for successively detecting a singing voice pitch from a microphone, main melody pitch acquiring means for successively acquiring the main melody pitch to sing in the play time sequence of karaoke accompaniment music from karaoke accompaniment music data, octave zone deciding means for comparing the singing voice pitch with the main melody pitch during a prescribed term for the leading part of a piece of music to start singing and deciding whether the relation of both the pitches is in general a single interval or compound interval, and pitch instructing means for applying the main melody pitch or main melody pitch converted for an octave as an instruction pitch to a pitch converting means according to the decided result when the decided result of the octave zone deciding means is provided after the lapse of the prescribed term for the leading part to start singing.
