To improve an advertisement effect by letting a user such as an accompany person view a content of an advertisement effect image even during singing, and to display the advertisement effect image according to real condition without bothering an operator in the hours which meets request of the display hours and cost of the advertisement effect image, in a karaoke system in which a background image is displayed when the user is singing with karaoke.
The karaoke system comprises: a first table 61 to which the advertisement effect image of the predetermined number, corresponding to a ranking of frequencies selected in the predetermined time band for each song, is related; and a second table 62 to which the ranking selected in the predetermined hours of one day or a day of the week for each song, is related. Based on the selected song and the time band when selecting, the advertisement effect image corresponding to the song specified in the first table 61 is displayed as the background image, from the ranking specified in the second table 62.
