The method for keeping the microbe-entrapped/immobilized carrier 30 obtained by entrapping/immobilizing a microbe in a immobilizing material until the microbe-entrapped/immobilized carrier is used in a treatment tank comprises a step of keeping the microbe-entrapped/immobilized carrier in the water of ≤15°C or in the atmosphere of ≥90% relative humidity and ≤15°C temperature in a state of the uncut carrier block 28, the size of which is larger than that of the microbe-entrapped/immobilized carrier to be used, until the microbe-entrapped/immobilized carrier is used.
