A key board device of an electric musical instrument includes a plurality of white keys 11w and black keys, and a plurality of hammers 16w and hammers engaged with the plurality of white keys 11w and the black keys. Each of driving parts of a first key and a second key serving as the white keys or the black keys has the same length in a vertical direction. A position in a longitudinal direction and the vertical direction of a hammer fulcrum of a first hammer engaged with the first key is the same as that of a second hammer engaged with the second key. A position in the vertical direction of an engagement part of the first key and the first hammer, and that of the second key and the second hammer, are determined depending on a distance from a front end of an operation part of the first key to a key fulcrum thereof and that of the second key to a key fulcrum thereof, respectively.
