Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a key cylinder device capable of improving cylinder strength without enlarging the size of the entire device.SOLUTION: A key cylinder device 1 comprises: a cylindrical rotor case 3; a rotor 4, which is rotatably inserted and stored in the rotor case 3; a sleeve 5, which is inserted in an outer peripheral face of the rotor 4 and inserted in and fixed to an inner peripheral surface of the rotor case 3; and a tumbler 45, which elastically moves in radial direction in the rotor 4 by inserting or withdrawing a mechanical key. The sleeve 5 has a tumbler holding hole 52, which releases the tumbler 45 when the mechanical key is inserted and engages the tumbler 45 when the mechanical key is withdrawn. A barrier 53, which receives the tumbler 45 and is inserted in a concave groove 3e formed on the inner peripheral face of the rotor case 3, is formed at an intermediate part of the tumbler holding hole 52.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
