To flexibly change the user of a key while strictly performing the authentication of the user of the key.

A server device transmits the use permission information in which the biological information of the user of the key is associated with a key which the key user is allowed to use, and stores the use history information on the use record of the key which has been transmitted from a management device thereto. The key management device stores the use permission information transmitted from the server device thereto, and acquires the biological information from the user of the key. The key management system is configured so as to determine whether the key can be used or not based on the biological information contained in the use permission information and the acquired biological information.
