To provide a key switch capable of preventing deformation of a camshaft due to reduction in a bending moment working on the camshaft even when an overload is applied to a cam means for improvement in a withstand load and reduction in a camshaft diameter for allowing use of a small-diameter camshaft and improving shock resistance.
In a base head member 11, a cam body housing part 20 is arranged in the center part, and bridge pier parts 20a and 20b are arranged on both sides of the cam body housing part 20. In each of the bridge pier parts 20a and 20b, a shaft support part 22 is arranged, and when the cam body 10 is housed in the cam body housing part 20 and the camshaft 45 is supported by the shaft support parts 22, the cam body 10 is held by the base head member 11. On the front face (an operation key B extracting direction) of the lower part (base part) of a base main body 11A, contact parts 26 are formed on the left and right sides for receiving a load applied to the camshaft 45 by a case 1 from the contract parts 26.
