PURPOSE: To correct the setting mistake simply and quickly by moving a cursor to a position of misregistration when misregistration is noticed from a display means when a telephone number corresponding to an short-circuit telephone number and using a dial entry means so as to attain correct entry.

CONSTITUTION: In the case of the monitor set in the ON state, when the user operates a registration start button of an input section 1, the state of input waiting is reached and the user operates a dial button provided to the input section 1 to enter an short-circuit telephone number and the telephone number corresponding thereto. The input information is given to a controller 8 via an input device 2 and when the number is discriminated to be an short-circuit dial, it and the telephone number are stored sequentially in a work memory 4. In this case, when the cursor position of a cursor position storage memory 5 is coincident with the input dial, the controller 8 is operated to display dial information on a display section 7 sequentially via an output device 6. Thus, the user discriminates the display section 7 visually and the inputted number is deleted from the memory 5 in the presence of input mistake and the entry is tried again.
