Abstract:
PURPOSE: To conduct a normal performance, a muting performance and a non- struck string performance without adversely affecting the feeling of key touching.
CONSTITUTION: An abutting section changing mechanism 60 which changes the abutting position of a jack 14 to a regulating button and the rotational amount of the jack 14 while it is escaped and a stopping means 91 which stops the rotation of a hammer assembly 13 while it is rotating are provided. The mechanism 60 includes first and second regulating buttons 16 and 62. During a normal performance, a protrusion 27 of the jack 14 abuts against the button 16. During a muting performance (a non-struck string performance), the button 62 is moved to the back direction and a protrusion 85 on the jack 14 abuts against the button 62.
