Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain the assembly inspection of a keyboard, battery, or LED or the like without turning on the power switch of a portable personal computer main body to operate a CPU.
SOLUTION: A keyboard/power source controller 1 supplies a power to a part to be used for assembly inspection when an AC adapter 19 is connected, and supplies a power to a whole portable personal computer 1 when a power switch provided at the personal computer is turned on. When the AC adapter 19 is connected, an operation starting state is obtained, and when plural specific keys are pushed from a keyboard 13, a microprocessor incorporated in the keyboard/power source controller 1 activates the processing of a test mode function. In this case, power is not supplied to a part which is not used for the inspection of a CPU 12, LCD 14 and memory 15 or the like of this system.
