Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate uneasiness of a driver by giving priority to a keyless function in the state of holding a smart entry function taking into consideration the convenience, and conducting locking and unlocking operation according to the drivers intention.
SOLUTION: This keyless entry device is provided with a keyless function of locking or unlocking a locking device of an automobile by intentional operation, and a smart entry function of locking the locking device when the driver is apart from the automobile and unlocking the same when the driver approaches the automobile. The device is provided with a transmitter (key member) 3 for the keyless function and a transmitter (card key) 1 for the smart entry function. The operation of getting on and off the automobile is detected to make the smart entry function effective, and when the transmitter 3 for the keyless entry function is operated, the smart entry function is made invalid.
