To provide a keyless entry system excellent in convenience capable of carrying out automatic locking of a door and automatic ventilation in a vehicle.
The keyless entry system comprises a vehicle mounted unit 1 and a portable unit 2 performing radio communications between the portable unit and the vehicle mounted unit 1, the vehicle mounted unit 1 includes a door locking mechanism 12, a power window mechanism 13 and an ECU 16, the portable unit 2 has a memory 22 capable of memorizing setting information of a closing mode of a window and an opening mode (first and second modes) and a mode selector switch 23 capable of altering the setting information of the memory 22 in accordance with the selected mode by selecting one of the modes, the ECU 16 automatically locks the door based on an answer signal b3 from the portable unit 2 and, at the same time, that the window is driven and stopped at a predetermined position based on the setting information stored in the memory 22.
