Abstract:

To obtain a kigamicinon that exhibits antibacterial activity, antitumor activity and or anti-cancer activity and is useful as an antibiotic, an anticancer agent, etc., to provide a method for producing the same and to obtain a medical composition containing the kigamicinon.

The kigamicinon is a compound represented by general formula (1) (R1, R2, R3, R4 and R5 are each a hydrogen atom or a substituent group) or its derivative. Preferably the kigamicinon is a compound represented by general formula (2) or its derivative.
