Title:
KILN FOR CERAMICS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2004245433
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a relatively easily miniaturizable kiln for ceramics using firewoods as fuel for firing ceramic ware in a short time with less smoke and soot while avoiding a firewood charge port from getting a high temperature.

In the kiln for ceramics 1, a combustion chamber 5 and a firing chamber 6 are arranged in a body 2 in the vertical direction, the combustion chamber 5 and the firing chamber 6 being sectioned with a grate 7. The firewood charge port 8 with a shelf portion 8a is provided in the front face of the firing chamber 5. A load port 10 having a loading door 9 is opened in the front face of the firing chamber 6. A chimney 4 is communicated with the firing chamber 6 by connecting a horizontal connection portion 3 of the chimney 4 to the lowest exhaust port 18 of a back portion of the firing chamber 6. An opening/closing member 14 is arranged in the horizontal connection portion 3. The horizontal connection portion 3 is communicated on its downstream side with the almost vertically erected chimney 4, and an air hole 15 passes through part of the side face of the chimney 4.
