Abstract:
PURPOSE: To eliminate the variations of the atmosphere and of temperature distribution in a roller hearth kiln by directing atmospheric gas and cooling gas uniformly over the inside of a calcination chamber.
CONSTITUTION: A kiln includes many rollers 3 disposed along the length of a kiln body 1. An article M to be calcined is transferred with the rotation of the rollers 3. Each roller has a hollow cylindrical configuration and has many jet holes 5 formed through a cylinder wall thereof. A gas supply source 6 is communicated and connected with external open end of the rollers 3.
