Abstract:
To provide a kinetic pressure gas bearing unit capable of shortening the required starting time of the bearing unit and reducing the burden to bearing coating and a hard disk drive unit using the bearing unit.
An operable and closable valve mechanism 1 is equipped with a sleeve 2 as a bearing body. The valve mechanism 1 is composed so as to be different in gas volume in a unit time flowing into the bearing from the outside in the starting process of rotation and gas volume in the unit time discharging to the outside from the bearing in the stopping process of rotation.
