Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a kitchen furniture excellent in flame resistance, heat resistance, and water resistance, and to make it easier to wipe off dirty substances therefrom compared with stainless steel plate members, by a method wherein all or a part of decorative sheets composed are formed of a rigid or hard composition of which the main components are at least one material selected from among ceramics, metallic powder, an inorganic filler, and plastics, each of which is excellent in the flame resistance, heat resistance and water resistance.

CONSTITUTION: Alumina as ceramics of 50 pts.wt., acrylic resin of 10 pts.wt., glass fiber as ceramics (for reinforcement) of 10 pts.wt., and epoxy resin of 30 pts.wt. are main components, and a proper amount of additives such as a dyestuff, a pigment, an antioxidant, an ultraviolet ray inhibitor, and an antistatic agent are added, and they are heated and kneaded. By a process of rolling (emboss), heat extruding (pelletizer), cold grinding by a kneader, or cold extrusion forming in the shape of a sheet by rolling, a pellet or powder material to be shaped is obtained. By a process such as injection molding or molding, moldings are made of this material, and thus many kinds of members for pitcher furniture can be obtained.
