To make dried garbage disposable without discharging malodorous gas emitted from the dried garbage in a heated air blowing type garbage drying apparatus.
The kitchen garbage drying apparatus comprises a heated air blowing means 10 for drying garbage in a garbage treatment container 3 to be attached to a main body storage part 2 in freely detachable manner; an air supply and discharge means for supplying and discharging air to and from a garbage treatment container 3; a blowing port 8 of the heated air blowing means 10; a suction port 9 formed in a main body cover 4 above the garbage treatment container 3; a container cover 12 for air-tightly closing the garbage treatment container 3 on the top part of the garbage treatment container 3; and a shutter part 14 installed in the container cover 12 and operated interlockingly with the opening or closing of the main body cover 4. Accordingly, during the drying treatment, hot air is blown to garbage in the state that the main body cover 4 is closed and the shutter part 14 is opened so as to carry out the drying treatment and on completion of the drying treatment, when the main body cover 4 is opened the shutter part 14 is closed, so that malodorous gas from dried garbage is prevented from diffusion to the outside even in the case the main body cover 4 is opened any time.
