To provide a kitchen garbage extinguishing apparatus in which decomposition extinguishment of kitchen garbage by microorganisms can efficiently be performed at high speed by fully stirring bacterial beds and the kitchen garbage and which can attain miniaturization.
The kitchen garbage extinguishing apparatus is constituted by providing a cylindrical drum 1 of a standing form for housing the bacterial bed 2 and a stirring device 22 in the drum 1 for stirring the bacterial beds and the kitchen garbage thrown in the drum by horizontally rotating stirring blades 24 attached to a rotating shaft 23. The drum has a tub-shape of which a diameter of a horizontal face is larger when compared with its vertical size. Further the kitchen garbage extinguishing apparatus is provided with a heating device which heats the bacterial bed to make its temperature to temperature suitable for activity of the microorganisms and with a water adding device which adds water to the bacterial bed to make a water content ratio of the bacterial bed to one suitable for activity of the microorganisms. Further a drum rotating device for rotating the drum around a perpendicular axis may be provided besides the stirring device.
