To easily put in and out kitchen knives and hold many kinds of kitchen knives by providing a holder for holding the kitchen knives in such a manner as to be always taken out with a slit for putting in and out the cutting edges of the kitchen knives sideways.

A kitchen knife holder 1 is constructed to hold five kitchen knives in such a state as to be always taken out. In this case, the kitchen knife holder 1 is formed as a solid body having space in the interior on the whole by a front panel 3 for covering the front, a main body 4 for covering the back, both side surfaces and the bottom and a lid 5 for covering the top face. The front panel 3 is provided with five slits 2 exteded horizontally, which are arranged at fixed spaces vertically. With the cutting edge 6a of the kitchen knife 6 laid in the slit 2, the knife can be put in and out sideways. That is, the knife 6 is held laterally with the cutting edge 6b exposed to the outside, so tha it can be always easily taken out.
