This kitchen range fire extinguishing device 20 has a jetting means 30 for jetting a fire extinguishing material such as water installed inside an exhaust air duct 6 placed above a kitchen range 4. The fire extinguishing material is jetted from the jetting means 30 toward the kitchen range 4 below. As the jetting means 30, a water spray nozzle for spraying water particles is preferable. Using the jetting means, the fire extinguishing material can be spread all over the kitchen range 4, and invasion of the fire into the exhaust air duct can be prevented.
