To make a kneader and a sludge treatment method suitable for a volume reduction and weight reduction of sludge generated in a construction site by enabling an efficient and stable solidification treatment of sludge.
The kneader 25 which receives cement-containing sludge and kneads the sludge with a coagulant liquid at the prescribed ratio to convert the sludge into almost agar-like aggregate comprises a device body 40 in which a receiving screw 47, an agitation blade 48 or agitation screw, and a discharging screw 49 are attached to an internal rotary shaft 46 in this order from one end to the other end of the shaft, a driving means 50 for the rotary shaft, a volumetric feed means 42 which is installed at the one end of the device body 40 and can delivers the sludge to the receiving screw 49 side by the almost fixed volume, and a coagulant liquid injection port 70 for introducing the coagulant liquid into the device body 40.
