Abstract:
PURPOSE: To easily obtain stability of the mode of a knee protector in collision, and also to enable good crushing capacity to be obtained by absorbing collision energy well.
CONSTITUTION: A knee protector is composed of a first member 11 supported by a car body constituent member 2, and formed into an approximately V shape as seen from the side and a second member 12 fixed on the front and rear both ends of the first member 11, and the right and left cross sections of the first member 11 and the second member 12 are formed into an approximately U shape, and the second member 12 is so formed as to be fitted in the first member 11 in collision.
