To provide a composite textile fabric effective for keeping the skin from water.

The composite fabric is provided with a 1st cloth layer made of essentially hydrophilic or hydrophilicized polyester, acrylic fiber or nylon fiber and a 2nd cloth layer integrated with a moisture-absorbing material such as cotton, a hydrophilicized synthetic yarn or their combination. The 1st and the 2nd layers are formed at the same time by knitting the fabric. The 2nd layer is mixed with a treated synthetic fiber having antimicrobial activity. An elastic yarn may be incorporated into both layers to obtain a stretchable composite fabric.
