To provide a knitted fabric of a crepe appearance having a soft touch feeling and light and shade contrast and to provide a method for production and a textile product.
The knitted fabric is obtained by affording a combined filament yarn using a multifilament yarn having ≤0.9 dtex single filament fineness and a thick and thin yarn having a higher shrinkage percentage in boiling water than that of the multifilament yarn and dyeable to a dark color, then knitting the resultant combined filament yarn and other yarns having a lower shrinkage percentage in boiling water than that of the combined filament yarn and subsequently carrying out dyeing processing. Thereby, the knitted fabric comprises a core-sheath type conjugated yarn comprising the multifilament yarn arranged in a sheath part and the thick and thin yarn arranged in a core part. The knitted fabric has crepes formed by randomly changing the difference in yarn length between the core part and the sheath part of the core-sheath type conjugated yarn on the surface and/or back surface of the knitted fabric.
