Title:
KNITTED FABRIC
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH073571
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a knitted fabric capable of positively absorbing near- infrared rays of sunlight to raise the thermal insulating ability of the back surface thereof, also excellent in antistatic effect in low-humidity circumstances, and good in anti-pilling nature.

CONSTITUTION: The objective knitted fabric has the following characteristics: (1) containing 3-15wt.% of electrically conductive fibers, (2) the whole carbon black content: ≥0.1wt.%, and (3) electrostatic voltage due to friction: ≤2KV. Said electrically conductive fibers are such that a carbon black-contg. antistatic polymer is oriented in a muscle-like way in the single fibers and at least partly exposed on the surface layer of the fibers and consist of a kind of acrylic fibers, having an electrical resistivity of 10-106Ω.cm. For a cylindrical knitted fabric 200g/m2 in basis weight made from said electrically conductive fibers along, the maximum spectroscopic reflectance in the wavelength region of 760-2000μm is ≤10%.
