To provide a knitted or woven fabric composed of a polyamide fiber having a multilobal cross-section and a polyester fiber having a triangular or sector-formed cross-section, wherein the polyamide fiber having a single fiber fineness larger than the single fiber fineness of the polyester fiber is exposed to the surface of the fabric, giving a smooth-surface knitted or woven fabric having dry skin touch and soft feeling as a fabric for a common apparel fabric and giving a fabric excellent in wiping property, polishing property, rubbing property, or the like for wiping, polishing or rubbing use.

The knitted or woven fabric is composed of a polyamide fiber having a multilobal cross-section and a single fiber fineness of 0.1-3 dtex, and a polyester fiber having a triangular or sector-formed cross-section and a single fiber fineness of 0.01-1.0 dtex, wherein the polyamide fiber is exposed to the surface of the knitted or woven fabric.
