PURPOSE: To join a pocket hole to a pocket main body in a state to incline the hole relative to the wale or course direction of the main knit fabric.

CONSTITUTION: A knit fabric having a pocket is knitted by using a four-bed flat knitting machine. The main body of the pocket is knitted by branching from the main knit fabric, the pocket hole knitted out of the knitting region of the main knit fabric is moved to the part adjacent to the pocket main body part and the pocket hole is successively joined to the pocket main body for each prescribed knitting course of the following pocket main body and the main knit fabric to decrease the knitting width of the pocket main body part.
