CONSTITUTION: This circular knitting machine is associated with a knitting needle 3 operated by pattern bars 10, an electromagnetic selecting means 33 for adjusting the knitting needle at various operation positions, a mechanical control means linked to the electromagnetic selecting means 33, selector elements 16 which are energized by a spring an slidable in the pattern bars 10 and a first and a second control cams 41 and 42 for rotating the pattern bars 10. Each pattern bar 10 is associated with each selector element 16. Each electromagnetic selecting means 33 is equipped with controllable magnetic poles 35 and 36 arranged one behind the other in the direction of rotation of a needle cylinder 1.
