PURPOSE: To secure and strengthen a connection of a flexible wire with a knitting needle made of a bamboo or a wood through an intermediate connecting part, by increasing a connecting strength between the intermediate connecting part and the knitting needle.

CONSTITUTION: In a knitting needle equipped with a needle portion 2 made of a bamboo or a wood, a intermediate connecting portion 4 with a stick part 4c inserted to a hole part 2b of the needle portion 2, and a flexible wire portion 3 having one end of which is inserted and connected to a connecting hole 6 of the intermediate connecting portion 4, a multiple number of ring shaped concave grooves 4e are provided along with a direction crossing to an axial direction of the stick part 4c on an outer circumference of the stick part 4c of the intermediate connecting part 4, and in a state where the stick part 4c of the intermediate connecting portion 4 is inserted in the hole part 2b of the knitting needle portion 2, a part of an adhesive which is filled between an outer circumference of the stick part 4c of the intermediate connecting part 4 and an inner circumference of the hole part 2b of the knitting needle 2, gets into multiple concave grooves 4e.
