Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH11270692
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a packing having excellent usage and flexibility while securing high sealing characteristic by embedding plural reinforcing fiber yarns arranged in the only longitudinal direction with a space in the condition that the expanded graphite is integrally adhered to the reinforcing knitting yarns by the adhesive agent.

A knitting yarn 4 is formed by embedding plural reinforcing fiber yarns 40 formed of the cotton arranged in the only longitudinal direction with a space in the cross direction in the condition that the expanded graphite 41 made of the green-caterpillar-shaped expanded graphite is integrally adhered to both surface of the reinforcing yarns. With this structure, a strap body, of which core formed of the knitting yarn 4 is covered with a bag-shaped braided body of the knitting yarns 4 at the periphery thereof, namely, a strap body having a high tensile strength and excellent toughness is formed, and this strap body is cut at the predetermined length corresponding to the shaft diameter so as to be used for packing. Flexibility and usage are thereby improved.
