Abstract:
To prevent that a characteristic of a vibration waveform generated by a plurality of noises is erroneously determined as a characteristic of one knock waveform, and a characteristic of a vibration waveform generated by both the noises and the knock is erroneously determined as the characteristic of one knock waveform.SOLUTION: In the followings, waveforms of a series of prescribed vibrations included in a vibration waveform are set as "individual waveforms Wo". When a plurality of individual waveforms Wo are included in a vibration waveform W, characteristics Ps, Pm and Pe are extracted with respect to the plurality of individual waveforms Wo. Then, a characteristic determination for determining whether or not the characteristic is the characteristic of the knock waveform is performed with respect to the individual waveforms Wo whose characteristics are extracted. Then, on condition that the characteristic of any of the individual waveforms Wo is determined to be the characteristic of the knock waveform, the presence of a knock is determined. In a state that the presence of the knock is not determined by the characteristic determinations, on condition that a characteristic determination number as a number of the individual waveforms Wo applied with the characteristic determination reaches two or more prescribed forcible thresholds, the presence/absence of the knock is forcibly determined.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
