To provide a knock type applicator capable of certainly discharging a coating solution even if a highly viscous coating solution is used by using a simple rear part knocking operation system high in operability, capable of using a flexible coating element and enabling a user to easily regulate the discharge amount of the coating solution.
In the knock type applicator wherein an ink tank is arranged in a shaft cylinder so as to be made movable forwardly by knocking and a member compressible by pressing force is arranged in front of the ink tank and a coating element is arranged in front of the compressible member, the ink tank and the compressible member are allowed to communicate with each other by a pressure transmission route provided with a check valve, and the ink tank and the coating element are allowed to communicate with each other by a coating solution supply route.
