PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide knockdown furniture to be assembled with a reduced number of screws to be used.
SOLUTION: This furniture comprises a pair of side panels 2, a top board 3, a bottom board 4, a rear board 6, and screws 32. A first notch 11 and a second notch 12 opening on the front end surface are formed in the front/rear direction at the upper end and lower end of each side panel 2, and an insertion groove 14 is also formed in the upper/lower direction on the inner surface at the rear end of the side panels 2. A pair of third notches 22 are formed on both sides in the cross direction on the top board 3, and the third notches are engaged with the first notches on the side panels. A pair of fourth notches 27 with the same interval in-between as that between the third notches are formed on both sides in the cross direction on the bottom board 4, and the fourth notches are engaged with the second notches on the side panels. The rear board 6 is held by engaging both ends of it in the cross direction with the insertion grooves 14 on the side panels. The upper end of the rear board and the rear end surface of the top board, and the lower end of the rear board and the rear end surface of the bottom board are connected and fixed to each other with the screws 32.
